What is Solution-Focused Hypnotherapy
Solution-focused hypnotherapy is focused on self-development and is based on the principle that everyone has the resources to overcome their problems. The therapy aims to help individuals identify and utilise these resources to solve their problems. During the session, the therapist works with the client to identify their goals and desired outcomes and then assists the client in developing a plan of action to achieve those goals
The session combines Solution-Focused Brief Therapy and hypnosis. It’s important to note that hypnotherapy is very safe; you cannot get stuck in a trance, and you are always in complete control. Clients generally start noticing positive life changes after just a few sessions. Some feel the benefits after just one session, reporting reduced unhelpful thought patterns. While changes may be small initially, clients generally feel calmer and more in control over a relatively short period.
It's crucial to understand that Solution-Focused Hypnotherapy offers a pathway to resolving and moving on from past challenges without repeatedly recounting or reliving one's life story. This approach empowers clients to achieve their desired outcomes without feeling obligated to divulge every detail of their past to the hypnotherapist.
While acknowledging and respecting the past is significant, true contentment is achieved by actively working towards creating a future that aligns with one's aspirations—recognising that the future is not predetermined but can be shaped and influenced by the individual. Every client is granted access to a Relaxation recording as part of therapeutic session support. This recording is intended to facilitate and enhance the therapeutic process. It is highly recommended that clients listen to the recording every evening before bedtime to promote relaxation and overall well-being.
